Role Details

Lift Attendant – Full Description
Seasonal • Nov–Apr • $20/hr

Lift Attendants are the heart of the mountain, keeping guests safe while creating a welcoming and positive experience.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload guests on the chairlift and magic carpet, assisting children and beginners as needed
  • Monitor lift operations and promptly report issues to the Lift Ops Lead or Mechanic
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, answer guest questions, maintain orderly queues
  • Keep loading/unloading zones free of snow, ice, and obstructions; assist with deck and walkway clearing
  • Perform daily operational checks before opening and after closing; document findings
  • Use radio to coordinate with Patrol, Rentals, and other departments; support cross-training as needed

Terrain Park Crew – Full Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist with building, shaping, and maintaining jumps, rails, boxes, and park features
  • Repair ruts, lips, and landings; keep approaches/landings clear
  • Inspect features daily; close unsafe features and report to Park Lead/Operations
  • Maintain signage, ropes, fencing, and terrain markings
  • Promote safe, respectful use of the terrain park; interact positively with guests
  • Support park events, competitions, and media sessions

Qualifications

  • Experience skiing/riding park features preferred
  • Knowledge of freestyle culture and safety etiquette
  • Comfortable working outside in all winter weather; able to shovel/rake for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and assist with proper sizing and selection of ski/snowboard gear
  • Fit boots/bindings and perform safety checks to industry standards
  • Maintain clean, functional equipment; support inventory and restocking
  • Educate guests on safe use and care; process transactions accurately

Qualifications

  • Experience in rentals or related field preferred; training available
  • Knowledge of boots, bindings, and sizing; strong customer service

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day lift ops: staffing, breaks, on-hill deployment

  • Conduct/document daily pre-/post-operational checks
  • Monitor weather/icing, direct de-icing/clearing
  • Coordinate with Patrol, Mechanic, and Ops on incidents
  • Ensure SOP and ANSI B77.1 compliance

  • Prior lift ops/mountain ops experience required; leadership preferred
