Lift Attendant

Seasonal • Nov–Apr • $20/hr

Lift Attendants are the heart of the mountain, keeping guests safe while creating a welcoming and positive experience.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload guests on the chairlift and magic carpet, assisting children and beginners as needed
  • Monitor lift operations and promptly report issues to the Lift Ops Lead or Mechanic
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, answer guest questions, and maintain orderly queues
  • Keep loading and unloading zones free of snow, ice, and obstructions
  • Perform and document daily operational checks before opening and after closing
  • Use radio communication to coordinate with Patrol, Rentals, and other departments

Requirements

  • 18+
  • Reliable transportation
  • Comfortable working outside for extended periods
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Available Fri–Mon, including holidays and school breaks, through the end of April

Lift Operations Lead

Seasonal • Nov–Apr • $22–$26/hr DOE

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day lift operations, including staffing, breaks, and on-hill deployment
  • Train, coach, and evaluate Lift Attendants
  • Conduct and document daily pre- and post-operational checks
  • Monitor weather and icing conditions and direct clearing or de-icing work
  • Coordinate with Patrol, Mechanic, and Operations during incidents
  • Ensure SOP and ANSI B77.1 compliance

Qualifications

  • Prior lift or mountain operations experience required; leadership experience preferred
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills
  • Comfortable working outdoors and able to lift 50 lbs
  • 18+ with weekend and holiday availability through April
Ski & Snowboard Rental Technician

Seasonal • Nov–Apr • $20/hr

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and assist with proper sizing and selection of ski and snowboard gear
  • Fit boots and bindings and perform safety checks to industry standards
  • Maintain clean, functional equipment and support inventory and restocking
  • Educate guests on safe use and care and process transactions accurately

Qualifications

  • Experience in rentals or a related field preferred; training available
  • Knowledge of boots, bindings, and sizing
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Physically able to lift and carry equipment
  • 18+
Terrain Park Crew

Seasonal • Part Time • Nov–Apr • $20/hr

Responsibilities

  • Assist with building, shaping, and maintaining jumps, rails, boxes, and park features
  • Repair ruts, lips, and landings and keep approaches and landings clear
  • Inspect features daily and close unsafe features
  • Maintain signage, ropes, fencing, and terrain markings
  • Promote safe, respectful terrain park use
  • Support park events and competitions

Qualifications

  • Experience skiing or riding park features preferred
  • Knowledge of freestyle culture and safety etiquette
  • Comfortable working outside in winter weather
  • 18+ with weekend and holiday availability
Ticket Sales Agent

Seasonal • Nov–Apr • $20/hr

Responsibilities

  • Sell lift tickets and explain packages and products
  • Answer guest questions with a friendly, helpful attitude
  • Operate the POS accurately
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional ticket counter

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service or sales experience preferred
  • 18+
Kitchen Lead (21+)

Seasonal • Nov–Apr • $22–$25/hr DOE

Responsibilities

  • Lead kitchen operations including setup, service, and closing
  • Train and schedule Kitchen Assistants
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation logs
  • Oversee espresso, coffee, and alcohol service
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and waste control

Qualifications

  • Prior kitchen lead or line cook experience required
  • ServSafe Manager preferred
  • TAP card required
  • Barista or specialty coffee experience a plus
  • 21+
Kitchen Assistant (21+)

Seasonal • Nov–Apr • $20/hr

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve food and beverage items
  • Provide friendly and efficient guest service
  • Operate the POS system accurately
  • Maintain clean kitchen, service, and dining areas
  • Restock food, beverages, and supplies
  • Follow food safety and responsible alcohol service requirements

Qualifications

  • Food service or customer service experience preferred; training available
  • Friendly and dependable
  • Comfortable working during busy periods
  • 21+
Aurora Viewing Host (21+)

Seasonal • Winter Evenings • $20/hr

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and provide a memorable aurora viewing experience
  • Assist guests with information about Ski Land and the aurora
  • Prepare and maintain viewing and warming areas
  • Monitor guest comfort and safety
  • Maintain clean indoor and outdoor guest areas
  • Assist with opening and closing evening operations

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable working evening and nighttime hours
  • Knowledge of Fairbanks or the aurora helpful; training available
  • Dependable transportation
  • 21+
Ski & Snowboard Instructor

Seasonal • Nov–Apr • $20–$24/hr DOE/certs

Responsibilities

  • Teach private and group lessons for all ages and abilities
  • Adapt instruction to individual goals and learning styles
  • Lead kids programs and clinics
  • Model mountain safety and etiquette

Qualifications

  • Strong skiing or riding ability
  • Teaching or coaching experience preferred
  • PSIA-AASI certification a plus and may qualify for higher pay
  • 18+
  • Patient, positive, and guest-focused
Snowmachine Groomer

Seasonal • Nov–Apr • $20/hr

Responsibilities

  • Operate snowmachines and grooming attachments
  • Maintain trails, access routes, and designated ski areas
  • Groom primarily outside normal operating hours
  • Monitor snow conditions and adjust grooming techniques
  • Perform equipment inspections, fueling, and basic maintenance
  • Report mechanical issues or hazards

Qualifications

  • Snowmachine experience preferred; training available
  • Comfortable working independently outdoors
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Strong situational awareness
  • 18+
All-Around Diesel Mechanic (Contract)

Seasonal Contract • $38–$40/hr target

Scope of Work

  • Pre-season and mid-season inspections of snowcats, chairlift diesel drive, generators, and vehicles
  • Preventive maintenance including fluids, filters, electrical systems, belts, hoses, and seals
  • On-call troubleshooting and repairs
  • Parts sourcing support
  • Document work performed
  • Contractor must carry appropriate liability insurance

This is a contractor opportunity, not a seasonal staff position.
